Inga arranged for us to attend the revival of "Turandot" at the National Opera House in Riga. The set was designed decades ago, and we sat in a box next to and above the orchestra pit.
We were not 20 feet from the singers!
The interior was beautiful, as you can see from the photos. Inga enjoyed pointing out all the celebrities and government notables who also came out to enjoy the revival of "Turandot." At one point, she said I bumped into a famous Latvian actor!
The Friday evening was lovely and many folks were out taking in the night air. Aahh, Riga!
